T11 Advanced C++ Programming Styles and Idioms

The tutorial by Jim Coplien.

A very good speaker, a nice interactive session, well-attended. However, the level was not as advanced as advertised. The contents was very much taken from Coplien's 5 year old book, and is slightly out-of-date.

This book was thrilling as it came out, since it offered ways to do amazing things. True, these ways were clearly not in the spirit of the language, but it posed a clear challenge: do it better!
The fact is that nowadays, there are indeed better ways to perform these tasks than the ones Coplien proposed.
