A great, thought provocative book. Slightly messy, at times
repeating itself (made of bits and pieces), or even dull, but this is
acknowledged and even advertised as part of the method.
The author bravely questions the groundings of the most common
hype of the time: process control.
He shows that few of the recipes advocated in the name of quality
assurance
are actually backed up by experience or otherwise
validated.
The central thesis of the book is that, concerning design, practice
is clearly ahead of theory, which means that it is too early to
standardize.
