ClearCase on NT, optionally with MultiSite

One can use ClearCase on NT (vobs, views, etc). It works. The vobs are not directly accessible from Unix, but one can use MultiSite.

Inter-operable solution: the vobs are on Unix

Two possible choices:

NFS clients on every NT

There are many products around, a handful of which supported by Rational. The solution chosen by Tampere, agreed by Hiomo is Disk Access (a certain patch level specially for CC...).

This is probably a bad solution from both maintenance and performance points of views, but it works and is supported. After some attempts, we abandoned it because of the maintenance burden and the usage inconvenience (same group on NT and Unix).

CIFS (SMB) server on Unix

There are two solutions supported by Rational: Syntax TAS SMB server (aka TotalNet) and Samba (at least on HP-UX).

Diverse

Yet one more detail point. Host where views are stored shouldn't be shutdown. Otherwise, other build might want to promote derived objects from them (for winkin purposes), and get stuck until they wake up.
